- “We're a great team!"
"And you're the best brother a chugger could have."
"Aw, thanks. You're not so bad yourself... when you're not pretending.” - ―Hoot and Toot
Toot's Tall Tale is the twenty-sixth and final episode of the second season.
Plot
Toot does not want to do track inspection with Hoot. To get out of it, she pretends she is not feeling well. At first she enjoys getting lots of attention, but when Morgan thinks her flywheel needs replacing, which means having her engine taken out and spending the night in the repair shed, Toot realises she has gone too far. She soon learns that faking an illness is the wrong thing to do.

Trivia
- This episode marks the first of the two times that Toot receives the main role, the second being Toot's New Friend. In most other appearances with her as a major character, she is usually paired with Hoot. This episode also marks Action Chugger’s first non-speaking role.
- This episode marks the last for a couple of things:
- The last appearance of Old Town until the fourth season episode, Explorer Koko.
- Magnificent Mysterioso's last physical appearance in the main series, as his last appearance is in the Chuggington: Badge Quest episode, Couriers.
- The last appearance of the Chug Scan until the sixth season episode, Slow Coach Koko.
Goofs
- Toot's jaw disconnects from her body when she says, "But I wanted to go".
