Sprayer Wagons

Sprayer wagons are tankers that store liquids or materials in a tank. Sprayer tanker wagons are typically used to spray anti-ice onto tracks in order to prevent them from freezing during ice storms.^[1] At the Rolling Stock Show, sprayer wagons were used to spray confetti.^[2]

Sprayer wagons have two arms that are fitted with sprayers. Two tubes transport the liquid or material in the tank to the sprayers.

Livery[]

Sprayer wagons are painted blue with brass frames. The tubes of tanker sprayer wagons are painted red, and the tanks are transparent.

Trivia[]

Sprayer wagons originally had a unique coupler design, but it was replaced by the automated coupler design by the time of the wagon's first appearance in the second series episode, Chilly Chuggers.
