Background information[]

Speedy McAllister is a fictional steam locomotive created Sarah Ball and Phil O'Shea.

He first appeared in the Chuggington: Badge Quest episode, Who Do You Appreciate?, but made his proper appearance in the second season episode, Frostini's Meltdown, and until his removal from the series, would become a recurring character; not appearing nearly as often as many other characters, but still receiving a good amount of focus.

Speedy has no exact basis, but appears to be loosely based on various streamlined 4-6-4 locomotives with the "shovelnose" design, and is painted red violet with a light sky blue underbite, a blue and gold streamlined casting, and a blue cab roof.

Speedy has not appeared on the show since 2015.

CGI model[]

In 2009, Speedy was most likely designed by Ludorum and most likely modelled by Volume Studios in the 3D modelling software Sketchup during the production of the second series. The model was later exported to another software, Maya, for animation.[1] The model last appeared in the fifth series episode, Koko Express.
