The seventh season of Chuggington was planned to be in production and follow after the sixth season[4], however, the series was unfortunately cancelled and dropped out of production officially as of 2023.[5]
Production
As of February 2021, writing began for the series once again. Twenty normal-length episodes and three new specials had been confirmed to be in the works. However, as of November 2022, Ryan Toyama marked the season as "unaired" on his Linkedin account, meaning that it is likely either delayed or cancelled.[3] On Thomas Hall's own LinkedIn, it states his screenwritting time on the series ended August of the year prior. It eventually mentioned him as Content Producer for Herschend Entertainment Studios concluded on November of 2023, ending production of the series as a whole.[5]
