Safari Cars are pieces of rolling stock used at the Safari Park. There are four different types of them, each designed for a different purpose.

Safari Passenger Cars[]

The Safari Passenger Cars are wagons designed for transporting visitors around the Safari Park. They are equipped with a scissor-lift mechanism capable of lifting the entire upper part of the car up in the air to give its passengers a good view around.

While it is likely that some inspiration was taken in the creation of the safari passenger cars, there is no exact basis for them.

Livery[]

The safari passenger cars are painted different shades of green, with their middle sections being decorated with camouflage decals resembling those of Mtambo's.

Safari Inspection Car[]

The Safari Inspection Car is a passenger wagon use to carry the Safari Park staff around the enclosures to make sure the animals are doing well. Dr. Gosling once used it to inspect on Twiga the Giraffe who just went in labor.

The safari inspection cars are painted a teal blue with neon green and a bright red roof.

Elephant Cars[]

The Elephant Cars are wagons used for transporting large animals such as rhinos and elephants. They feature large ramp doors on their sides to allow for animals to easily enter the car.

Monkey Cars[]

The Monkey Cars are wagons designed for transporting small animals such as monkeys. They feature special seats to ensure the animals are travelling safely.

The monkey cars are painted two different shades of bright green with purple and yellow accents. Their roofs are yellow and feature purple and green stripes.

Giraffe Cars[]

The Giraffe Cars are pieces of rolling stock used for transporting tall animals such as giraffes. Like the elephant cars, they feature sizable ramp doors on the side to allow for animals to easily enter the car.

Basis[]

While it is likely that some inspiration was taken in the creation of the giraffe cars, there is no exact basis for them. The model for the car seems to have been created by modifying the more commonly used elephant car.

Livery[]

The giraffe cars are painted lavender, dark orange and light yellow, with light yellow and fuchsia footplates. Their roofs are mainly light yellow and bright orange, featuring a fucshia-coloured hole for the head of the animal being transported.
