Rescue Wagons were the cars used by Calley for her rescue operations before she would join Chug Patrol in the fourth season. With the introduction of the Chug Patrol Wagons, the Rescue Wagons became obsolete, but are still used for various purposes. The wagons are stored in Calley's Shed.

Rescue Car[]

The rescue car is a crane car used for lifting, towing and cleaning up after accidents. The rescue car has been seen equipped with both a hook and magnet at the end of its crane. Another smaller winch is also attached to the wagon.

Calley used the wagon to retrieve Koko from the countryside, put Zephie back on the rails a total of two times, and also appeared in the newspaper Chuggington Life with the wagon after rescuing Wilson at Chug Town.

Technical Details[]

Basis[]

While it is likely that some inspiration was taken in the creation of the rescue car, an exact basis for it has yet to be found.

Livery[]

The rescue car is painted primarily orange with a grey footplate, yellow buffer beams and a cream vent compartment. In Skylar's Squad, a blue variant of the car was seen.

Trivia[]

Fire Car[]

The fire car is a hose-type wagon used for things such as putting out fires and melting freezing ice.

Brewster would use the fire car to prevent a fire that had started at the end of Chatsworth's train from spreading. Emery attempted to rescue Wilson from a mess of pasting materials with the car, and, accompanied by Eddie, was also rescued by Calley during an ice storm, using the fire car to melt the ice that had caused Emery's wheels to stick to the tracks.

Technical Details[]

Basis[]

The fire car has no known basis, with its hose being of a generic design.

Livery[]

The fire car is painted red with a grey footplate and a yellow hose frame and buffer beams. The fire car's handrails are both silver and yellow.

Fuel Car[]

The fuel car is a fueling wagon used for general refueling. While it is not used as much as the other rescue wagons, it can be a vital part of an emergency.

The wagon was used to help steam Piper for the first time. Skylar additionally supplied it to the trainees to see who would join his squad through various tests.

Technical Details[]

Basis[]

The fuel car is most likely not based on any real piece of rolling stock and appears to be of a freelance design.

Livery[]

The fuel car sits on a brown base with yellow lining (reused from the base of the Safari Cars) with a red fuel compartment and a blue water tank. Its hose is yellow with red frames and blue joints.

Trivia[]

  • The animal rescue car reuses the model of the fire car with a cradle instead of a hose and a slightly different livery. As a result, the animal rescue car has the fire car's fire symbols.

Trivia[]

  • The magnet car is also one of the rescue wagons that were previously used by Calley, but it is also used for construction and maintenance.
