“I didn't top off my cooling, so my motor overheated."
"But Vee reminded us to do our checks."
"Yeah, but I thought you were going to beat me to the Warehouse and I skipped some."
"Safety checks are really important, Koko!”
―Koko and Brewster

Ready to Roll is the eighth episode of the first part of Chuggington: Badge Quest, as well as the eighth episode overall.

Plot[]

At the Training Yard, Vee instructs the trainees on how to earn their "ready to roll" badges- they must pull a load of refrigeration wagons to the warehouse in Tootington. Vee advises the trainees to do their safety checks before starting the long journey.

At the Fuel Yard, Wilson fills up with fuel while Koko charges her battery. Brewster also notices that the green tunnel is getting rather dirty, and fetches Morgan to clean it up. Emery also passes by the Fuel Yard and tells Koko that he saw Brewster going into the green tunnel, to which Koko quickly shoots off (wanting to get to the warehouse first) without fully charging. Sometime afterwards, Wilson and Brewster finally begin their journey to Tootington.

Wanting to catch up with Brewster (when he is really far behind her), Koko finds herself going faster and faster, pushing her engine to the limit. Suddenly, Koko overheats and comes to an abrupt stop in the middle of nowhere.

A long while later, Wilson and Brewster finally find Koko, stranded. She explains what happened and apologises for rushing. Brewster takes Koko's wagon and sets off with Wilson- Koko wishes the two good luck.

The next day at the Training Yard, Wilson and Brewster receive their badges. Koko also congratulates them, and promises that next time, she will make sure to prepare.

Trivia[]

  • Going by production order, this is the eighteenth episode of Badge Quest.
  • This episode marks the only appearance of Koko's controls. The model would later be retextured to represent that of Wilson's in the second season episode, Wilson's Icy Escapade.
  • The plot of Ready to Roll bares numerous similarities to the first season episode, Can't Catch Koko, such as mostly taking place at night, Koko being stranded in the countryside, and Tootington playing a major role.
