Bridge Over Tunnel Runby[]

The Bridge Over Tunnel Runby is a bridge spanning over a small tunnel portal that marks the beginning of the Yellow Line.

Part of the track near the bridge would go under repair for a short time, causing much delay. Some time afterwards, Koko nearly collided with Hodge after she became a runaway due to a jammed speed booster. A promotional poster for Chuggington was also put up here.

Appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • Despite being the beginning of the Yellow Line, the tunnel of the set has only been coloured yellow in three episodes, Hodge and the Magnet, Outward Bound Olwin and Brewster to the Rescue. This was likely done to allow for the set to be used in more places.
  • In Brewster Knows Best, a different beginning for the Yellow Line was shown.
  • As of the second series, the Yellow lining on the tunnel entrance is removed.

Teal Canopy Station[]

The Teal Canopy Station is a station located near the border of Chuggington and Tootington.

While doing their first night shift, Wilson and Brewster stopped at the station to contact Vee when a power cut occurred. The station was also later used as part of the Chugger Championship race track.

Bridge and Hill Runby[]

The Bridge and Hill Runby is a route commonly used by chuggers located near the Safari Park.

Biography[]

The Bridge and Hill Runby was first introduced in Wilson and the Elephant when the trainees visited the freshly built new Safari Park for the first time. After that, the place quickly became one of the most prominently used countryside routes of Chuggington. It was also used as a part of the Chugger Championship race track.

Sometime later, on a snowy winter day, Harrison and Koko were sent to clear snow off the tracks of the Bridge and Hill Runby. Harrison, however, got stuck inside a huge snowdrift between the bridge and the hill. Luckily, after getting help from all the other chuggers, Koko was able to get him out.

Sometime after that, Emery broke down while driving down the hill, causing him to completely lose control and fly off the tracks at a nearby forest. That's not the only time the steepness of the hill has caused problems to the chuggers; in Stunt Brewster, Hoot and Toot uncoupled from their car at the top, causing the car to gain speed and almost crash into Brewster. It's also been shown that older chuggers, most notably Old Puffer Pete, sometimes have trouble getting up the hill.

  • In Mtambo's Amazing Adventure, it was shown that there is another similar bridge and hill behind the set. However, other episodes have confirmed this to be a goof.
  • A slightly modified version of the set appeared in Work Those Wheels and Quiet Please.

Bridge Over Tunnel Intersection[]

The Bridge Over Tunnel Intersection is an intersection located near the Safari Park at the Green Line.

The intersection bridge is shown to go on for miles on end, and is thought to be on its own line or a secondary line for one of the main lines. [2]

A frog once escaped from the Safari Park and hid in the intersection tunnel for some time before it was rescued by Brewster. Wilson later became trapped in the tunnel during a severe snowstorm. A rhino also escaped from its enclosures at the Safari Park, forcing the trainees to hide on the intersection bridge until they could get it to calm down.

  • In Brewster and the Dragon, the intersection has two traffic lights, but is depicted with only one beyond the aforementioned episode.

In the autumn, pumpkins are grown here.[6][7]

Trivia[]

  • Many episodes in seasons 1-5 depict a lake near the intersection. In some episodes, however, the lake is missing. In general, the landscape around the intersection has been depicted very inconsistently during the series' run; the amount of trees and fences at the location varies by episode. It is possible that there are multiple near-identical intersections in Chuggington, but that has not been confirmed.
  • The location is depicted with a platform and several Vee poles sparodically throughout the series.
  • The overhead lights at the intersection have often been removed to make way for objects that will not clear it (such as the bridge sections seen in Fletch Shines).
  • Multiple modifications of the set appear in the show. These include the Water Tower Intersection, Forest Intersection, Spur Line Intersection and the High Mountain Pass Junction and Intersection.
