Background information[]

Fletch is fictional diesel locomotive created by Sarah Ball.

As one of the main members of the Chuggineers, Fletch was introduced in the fourth series and became a recurring character until his removal in the sixth series.

Fletch is likely to be based upon an Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) SD40-2 with the two yellow safety beacons instead of one. He also resembles an Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) GP30, as evident by the roof design.

Fletch has not appeared in the series since the fifth series.

CGI model[]

In 2012, Fletch was designed and modelled by Ludorum in the 3D modelling software Maya during the production of the fourth series. Fletch was originally named "Nate."[1] The model was last used in the fifth series episode, Fletch Shines.
