Trivia[]

  • There are several differences from the pilot and final product.
    • Wilson and Dunbar stylistically look very similar to their final designs but do bear a few minor differences.
    • Vee is made up of entirely speakers and lacks a "head". Her speakers are also more cubed-shaped than her final design.
      • Vee's screen folds out rather than coming out of slots.
    • The hopper car has a closer resemblance to American hoppers as opposed to the final where they're based off British ones.
    • The tracks appear more realistic and are equipped with ballast and sleepers.
    • The Elevated Track has no visible track and it goes around the Coloured Tunnels.
    • The order of the Coloured Tunnels go from Blue, Red, Green and Yellow as opposed to Red, Blue Yellow and Green in the final design.
    • Rocky Ridge Mountain (then named Mountain Quarry) was originally called "Marble Mountain".
    • Vee has a British voice, while Wilson and Dunbar are depicted with American accents; likely to reflect their basis and/or as a way of showing how the series could have international appeal.
    • Brewster and Koko don't appear; while always intended to make up the lead trio, pilots are typically produced on a reduced budget, requiring only a select number of characters.
    • Given how they are stylistically different from everything else, the track and potentially the hopper car are most likely pre-made, royalty-free assets.

Goofs[]

  • Wilson's front wheelset clips through his wheel trucks when he brakes.
  • Dunbar's model stops reversing when the camera pans over to Wilson.
  • When Wilson reverses out of the tunnel, his wheels are not seated on the rails properly.
  • When Wilson honks his horn towards the end, it clips through his roof.
