Buddy Badge is the sixteenth episode of the first part of the Chuggington: Badge Quest, as well as the sixteenth episode overall.
Plot[]
Brewster and Koko arrive at the Depot to meet Vee, who instructs them on how to earn their "buddy badge"- which she states is all about trusting each other. The two begin with Brewster closing his eyes and Koko serving as a guide. Everything goes well, but Koko is unsure of how good of a guide Brewster will be. After the trip starts, Koko misses the junction to the Old Town and has to back up. She still feels a little worried, but Brewster assures her that everything is fine.
As the two approach a set of lights, Brewster states it to be green, but it switches to red just as Koko passes it. Koko feels that she isn't ready for the badge, and she apologizes. Brewster understands and says that he doesn't want to make Koko do anything she doesn't feel safe doing. Just as Brewster goes to tell Vee, Koko decides to have another try. The light switches to green, allowing Brewster and Koko to begin once more. Along the way, Koko is slightly frightened by a low branch, but Brewster keeps her comforted. The journey concludes well- the two trainees return to the Training Yard to earn their badges.

- Going by production order, this is the ninth episode of Badge Quest.
- Despite only appearing briefly, Emery can be seen observing Brewster and Koko from the elevated track. This attention to detail is uncommon, as most characters in the background will be left with default expressions for budget reasons.
Goofs[]
- Dunbar's coupler clips through his front as a result of the model being in its default position.
- The head and pole of the signal light changes colour when the light goes from red to green.
